The First Place Oyster Fest!
That is right, Arielle and David are having our first fundraiser for our Foiling NACRA 17 Campaign for the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2020 and we want you to attend! We are super excited that the event is being hosted by the Trudell family at their home just down the street from Norfolk Yacht and Country Club in Norfolk, VA on Saturday, September 30th and will feature the most amazing Oyster bar you have ever experienced along with beverages and a take-it-or-leave it raffle with items donated from local artisans, retailers and eateries along with exclusive sailing items from some of our sailing related partners like Harken, North Sails, Kaenon Polarized Sunglasses, Zhik, Oakcliff Sailing and more. You are sure to end up with something you love in this unique and interactive raffle format like you have never experienced before!
The Oyster Fest will feature top local oysters harvested by the best in the business and there will be plenty for you and your friends and family to enjoy throughout the night. You will also have the opportunity to meet and talk with Arielle and David, hear about their campaign and how they are uniquely situated to win Gold in Tokyo in this extreme foiling NACRA17 Catamaran. You will top the event off with a frank presentation by the team about the status of Olympic Sailing and how your support of the team will help to propel the next generation of US athletes to the top of the podium in our sport for years to come!
Arielle and David are the third team in the USA to receive the newly developed Foiling NACRA17 and will be training in
Virginia, New York and Florida throughout the years leading up to the Olympic Trials and the Games in 2020 and the Oyster Fest is your opportunity to learn about the platform, how these boats foil and what it takes to get around a short legged racecourse at speeds up to 30 knots. And all of this comes together as you support Arielle and David as they work tirelessly to bring sailing Gold home to the USA after an 11 year drought.
The entire evening in support of Team HD Sailing is yours for the taking, all we are asking is for a $30 donation which will go towards the payment of our new boat and training as we work to top the podium at the Sailing World Cup Championship in Miami next January.
